Departure from an uncontrolled aerodrome at Brampton (CNC3, ATF)
Practises the self-announced calls used departing an uncontrolled aerodrome on the aerodrome traffic frequency, with the UNICOM closed so nothing answers: a taxi broadcast, a ready-for-departure broadcast, a taking-off broadcast, and a call leaving the area (NAV CANADA VFR Phraseology guide, MF Start Up/Taxi/Takeoff pp. 54-55 and Aerodrome Traffic Frequency pp. 56-57).
The situation
You are the pilot of C-GABC, a Cessna 172 on the apron at Brampton (CNC3), ready to taxi for a local flight. Brampton is uncontrolled: no tower, no FSS, and the UNICOM keeps limited hours and is closed right now. You broadcast your own intentions to Brampton traffic so others know where you are, and nobody answers. Remember some aircraft here may have no radio at all. Nobody has told you who else is flying, and nobody will: listen first, and build the picture from what you hear.
