Training aid only: not for real-world flight operations
This app is a practice tool. It is not a source of aviation authority and must not be used as one.
- It is not approved by NAV CANADA, Transport Canada, or any civil aviation authority, and is not affiliated with them.
- The phraseology is drafted from the Transport Canada AIM, the NAV CANADA VFR Phraseology guide and the Canada Flight Supplement, and each scenario lists the sections it relies on.
- The AI controller is generated software. It can be wrong, and does not behave like a real air traffic controller in every situation.
- Airport details in scenarios are simplified and may be out of date. Never use this app for flight planning or in an aircraft.
- Building your own flights (the Build tab) is free while it is in beta, up to two flights a week; restarting a flight does not count again. It is planned to become part of a paid plan, and the beta can change or end.
- Scenarios you build are generated from the Canada Flight Supplement and the Canada Airport Charts. Where those do not publish a detail, such as a circuit direction, a taxi route or an arrival altitude, it is worked out from them and marked as inferred. Aerodromes read automatically have not been checked by a person.
Always follow your flight instructor, current official publications, and the instructions of actual air traffic control. Nothing here replaces real training, and it does not count toward any licence, rating, or currency requirement.
The service
The app is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability. Daily usage limits apply so that the running costs stay manageable, and you may occasionally be told the daily capacity is used up. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the service may be discontinued, at any time and without notice.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- attempt to bypass the usage limits, or use automated tools to drive the app;
- use it to attack, overload, probe or disrupt the service;
- submit unlawful or abusive content through the contact form;
- use it for anything other than practising radio phraseology.
Access may be blocked if the service is being misused.
Feedback
If you send feedback, suggestions, or corrections, you allow them to be used to improve the app, without obligation or compensation.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted operation. You use it at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of this app is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it, or from reliance on anything it teaches or says.
Privacy
What the app stores is described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use the app means you accept the current version.
