Asking for a circuit exercise at Boundary Bay (CZBB)
Practises requesting a circuit exercise, such as a touch-and-go, from the downwind leg, handling a possible 'unable' from ATC, and reading back a landing clearance (NAV CANADA VFR Phraseology guide, Circuit Exercises pp. 32-33; Basic Circuit Pattern pp. 29-30).
The situation
You are the pilot of C-GABC, a Cessna 172 downwind at Boundary Bay (CZBB). You want a touch and go this time around. At a controlled airport you ask for the exercise you want on the downwind call, and the answer is not always yes.

If the circuit or airport is busy, the exercise may not be approved due to traffic.' Pilot '(unit) (call sign) DOWNWIND (runway number) REQUEST (your request)'; ATC '(call sign) UNABLE DUE TO (reason)' or '(call sign) CLEARED FOR THE OPTION RUNWAY (runway number)'; pilot readback 'CLEARED FOR THE OPTION RUNWAY (runway number) (call sign)'
